Our trip to San Diego was such a blast. The kids were awsome, there was hardly any fits. I don't think Issac even cried until he was ready for bed each night. We left our house at 3:30 am on Monday to get to the airport. I think the worst part of the whole trip was the waiting in security and other airport lines (yes, even at 4 am you have to wait in line)! The kids were great!

Once we made it to San Diego we went and got our rental van, it was a Towne & Country. It was a nice van, until it shut my arm in the door! There was no safety feature, once the button was pushed to close the door it kept closing until we pushed the button again. I ended up with a big bruise and bump on my arm. We finially made it to the hotel, where the kids wanted to go straight to the pool. I got to take a nap with Issac while Todd took Hailee and Chase to the pool. After our little nap, we went to the see the ocean (it was the first time the kids have seen the ocean). We walked along the beach and looked for seashells.

On Tuesday, we headed to Sea World. We got there before the gates opened, and they kicked us out when they closed. All of us loved it! Issac could really see the whales, and clapped and pointed the whole show. I think Hailee and Chase liked the sea lion show the best. We got to feed and pet the dolphins, and the sea rays (well, Chase and Todd fed the sea rays, Hailee and I didn't want to touch the squid).

On Wednesday we went to the zoo. It was fun, we took the bus tour to see most of the animals, then we walked around a little to get a closer look at some of them.

On Thursday, we went back to Sea World! Needless to say, it was our favorite part of the trip. Again, we were there before they opened, and didn't leave until they closed. This time around we got to hold some star fish, and we had lunch with Shamu! It was so much fun! They have a separate tank, that had two whales in it, with tables set up alond two of the sides. The lunch was a great buffet (which I usually don't like). While we ate lunch, they had a couple of trainers talking about the whales and how they train them. Then they put on a little show for us. Our table was about three or four feet, at the most, from the water. At the very end they had the whale come right up out of the water right by our table, it was so cool!! We got lots of great pictures, and had way too much fun. We really didn't want to come home that night.

We left Sea World and headed to the airport. We got home at about 1:30 am on Friday. We want to go back as soon as possible.
