Baseball

Well Chase went to his first T-Ball practice yesterday. He will be on the Braves this year. He has been bugging me for two years to sign him up, and I have always missed the sign-ups. I missed them again this year, but called afterwards and had to pay an extra fee to sign him up, but I thought I may not be forgiven if I missed it for three years in a row! He is so excited that he came straight home and put on his shirt and hat (a friend gave us the pants since they don't give them those for T-Ball). He has been wearing the pants for at least a year! I think I am crazy, he now is playing baseball, soccer and has karate every week! Hailee has karate and ballet! I think next year they will be back to picking what thing they like the best.

Entertaining

The only way I ever get anything done around the house is when Issac is asleep. Otherwise he just undoes everything I do. So I have tried a bunch of things, the Cars movie is the best thing I have found to keep him busy. Toys don't work for long, books don't work (he just ends up eating them), most movies or TV shows don't work, but the Cars movie, it works! He will actually sit there for about half of it while I do the dishes or the laundry (two of my least favorite things). It is great when I feel like I have accomplished something for the day. THANKS Disney for making a movie he likes.

Thanks

Okay, I took Issac to the doctor (he was exposed to Strep throat). The doctor just told me to move Chase out for a week or so and just to let Issac cry. He is 15 months old, and was waking up more than when he was 6 months old. So on Friday, I blew up an air mattress and put Hailee and Chase downstairs in the basement. They think it is way cool to be sleeping in the basement on an air mattress. The first night, Issac woke up only one time, but he cried for almost two hours. On Saturday night he slept all the way through the night, it was the first time in at least a couple of months. Then last night he woke up a couple of times, but only cried for a couple of seconds each time and went right back to sleep. I am going to keep Hailee and Chase downstairs for a few more nights, but I think he is getting the idea that I am not going to jump up each time he cries. So if anyone else is having the same trouble, just let them cry (not always the easiest thing to do). If you do that when they are younger you won't have the same problem as I have been having. Thanks Amy, I appreciate your comments, and I am also playing soft music while Issac is sleeping!

HELP!!

Okay, all you wonderful moms, I need some help! Issac has decided that he does not like to sleep at night. He is waking up 5 or 6 times every night. I can't really just let him cry because he is in the same room as Chase. He takes a 2 1/2 hour nap during the day, but that is it, so that should not be the problem. Any suggestions on how to help him sleep would be greatly appreciated!!!

Easter

Easter was such a fun time this year with Issac. It is so fun to see the little ones who don't even know that there is supposed to be anything inside the plastic eggs. They just want to go around and pick them all up. We had a neighboorhood egg hunt on Saturday morning, it was completely FREEZING!! Not very fun to hunt for egg with your coats on. Later that day we went to one of the Grandpas house, it was lots warmer. Hailee and Chase love going to Grandpa Al's house with all the dogs and all of the spoiling! I know that we are ready for spring at our house.
